This is the ninth of 10 meetings between the Gulls and Steelheads with San Diego holding a 6-1-1 series edge. The two teams will clash one more time in the regular season.

San Diego owns the all-time series match-up, posting a 36-21-6 record against its Pacific Division rival.
LAST HEAD-TO-HEAD MEETING: FEB. 7:
Darrell Hay scored 1:15 into overtime, leading Idaho to a 3-2 victory in the rubber game of a three-game series at the Bank of America Centre. Chris Gobert gave San Diego an early edge before the Steelheads tied it up. Samy Nasreddine put the Gulls back in front early in the second period, but Idaho quickly evened things up again. Teams skated to a scoreless third period, before Hay won it in the extra fame.
GULLS UPDATE:
The Gulls (43-13-10) enter the day leading the Western Conference, two points ahead of the Louisiana IceGators with one game still in hand... San Diego leads the Pacific Division by eight points over the Las Vegas Wranglers. The Gulls need just five points in its final six games to clinch the division title... The Blue and Orange hold the second-best overall record in the ECHL, trailing only the Wheeling Nailers by four points with a game in hand... San Diego is 15-8-9 on the road this season and unbeaten in 11 of its last 12 away from the Sports Arena (5-1-6...
OTHER NOTES:
San Diego is unbeaten in 12 of its last 13 games overall (8-1-4)... The Gulls are 39-10-5 against Pacific Division teams... They've lost in regulation only three times in their last 32 games (22-3-7) and six times in their last 48 games (34-6-8)... San Diego is four of its last 46 on the power play (8.7 percent)... Trevor Koenig is second in the ECHL with 32 wins and fourth with a 2.25 goals-against average. He is unbeaten in 23 of his last 25 games (17-2-6)... David Neale has a point in four of his last five games...
PEDERSON, DESCHATELETS AND BARBER UPDATE:
Mark Pederson leads the league with 43 goals and is fourth with 79 points. Pederson also leads the ECHL with 18 power-play goals and is tied for third with eight game-winning goals. He has 12 points (6g, 6a) in his last seven games... Sylvain Deschatelets is in the midst of a career-high 20-game point streak, which is tied with Pederson for the longest in the ECHL this season. During his streak, he has 32 points (11g, 21a)... Deschatelets is seventh overall in the league with 75 points... Greg Barber was scratched Tuesday with a thigh injury, but could be back in the lineup tonight. He has 12 points (6g, 6a) in his last seven games and leads all ECHL rookies overall with 72 points and 43 assists.
IDAHO UPDATE:
The Steelheads (38-20-8) enter the day third in the Pacific Division with 84 points, four behind the Wranglers... They are winless in three of their last four games (1-2-1). Prior to that, Idaho was unbeaten in 11 of its last 13 games (9-2-2)... The Steelheads have allowed 16 power-play goals to the Gulls in 49 chances this season while only scoring three times with the man advantage on 40 chances... They have allowed 13 short-handed goals this season... Jan Kopecky leads the club with 53 points (23g, 30a)...
TRANSACTIONS:
Gobert was placed on the seven-day injured list, retroactive to Wednesday, with an upper leg injury... Steve Martinson will serve the final game of his five game suspension tonight... Sandro Sbrocca will serve the final game of his three-game suspension tonight... Darren Partch was signed on Tuesday... The Gulls have three players in the American Hockey League: Billy Tibbetts (Houston), Nick Lent (Springfield) and Josh Gratton (Cincinnati)... Jamie Black (ankle) and Dennis Purdie (shoulder) both remain on the injured list...
