Royals Announce 2015-16 Fans' Choice Awards

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL take this opportunity to thank all of the fans-and players-who attended the team's weekly radio show, Royals Radio Recon, this evening for the presentation of the Royals' 2015-16 Fans' Choice Awards.
The players receiving Fifteenth Anniversary FCAs were announced as follows: (i) Most Valuable Player: Adam Comrie; (ii) Offensive Player of the Year: Justin Crandall; (iii) Defensive Player of the Year: Ian Watters; (iv) Rookie of the Year: Justin Crandall; (v) Unsung Hero: Derik Johnson; (vi) Heart Award: Mike Marcou; (vii) Scrapper of the Year: Derek Mathers; (vii) Community Service Award: Scott Tanski and Yannick Tifu; and (viii) Fans' Choice Award: Yannick Tifu.
For Tifu, this marked the fourth time in team history that he received the Fans' Choice Award. There is one more FCA to be presented-the Team President's Award-which will be announced at Santander Arena on Saturday (April 9) during the Royals final game of the regular season against the Wheeling Nailers.
The Royals complete the regular season with a back-to-back games against the Wheeling Nailers, the first of which will be played at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, West Virginia, this Friday (April 8 @ 7:35 p.m.). Friday evening's matchup can be heard live on CBS SportsRadio 1240 AM and 98.5 FM in Reading, Pennsylvania, starting with the pre-game warm-up show presented by Highmark Blue Shield at 7:05 pm Eastern Time. Friday's game will also be televised locally in Berks County, Pennsylvania, on BCTV courtesy of Boscov's Travel and Apple Vacations. Streaming audio is available free of charge on the Royals' website; and streaming video is available on a pay-per-view basis through ECHL.TV.
