Grizzlies Announce 2015-2016 Awards

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies announced Monday night at Maverik Center the winners of the awards at the team's 2015-2016 Awards Banquet. In addition, the team auctioned off game worn jerseys and signed sticks. All proceeds from the evening will go to the Utah Grizzlies Children's Charities.

1. Most Improved Player: Phil Pietroniro

2. Best Defensemen: Marc Cantin

3. Community Service Award: Mathieu Aubin/Cam Wojtala

4. Unsung Hero: T.J. Syner

5. Leading Scorer: Charlie Sarault

6. Trash Talker: Barry Almeida

7. Player's Player: Brent Gwidt

8. Rookie of the Year: Matt Berry

9. MVP: Alex Krushelnyski

10. Fan Favorite: Ryan Faragher

Nearly $10,000 was raised in the jersey auction with all proceeds going to Utah Grizzlies Children's Charities.

Awards were chosen by fellow teammates. The team's booster club handled the voting for the team's fan favorite. The leading scorer was based on season statistics.
