
Rox Batters Collect Eight Hits in Game One Against Mankato - Rox Return Home Versus MoonDogs Tomorrow

MANKATO, MN - The St. Cloud Rox (15-10) dropped Game One of their series against the Mankato MoonDogs (16-10) with a 3-0 final score, Saturday, June 24th. In the Great Plains West division, the Rox sit among the top teams in the division.
The starting pitcher for St. Cloud was Cade Lommel. Lommel had another terrific outing for the Rox, throwing a career-high 6.0 innings pitched with one strikeout. The left-handed pitcher has given up just 13 hits over 16.1 innings pitched this season with 16 strikeouts.
Peyton Lejeune had two walks and a hit on the day, now reaching base in each of his last three starts. John Nett had two hits and two stolen bases for St. Cloud, leading the team in both categories. Nett has nine stolen bases this season, in a tie for the team lead. Ozzie Pratt returned to the lineup as a leadoff hitter for the first time this season, reaching three times, with two hits and a walk.
Brandon Jaenke came out of the bullpen in the 7thinning, going 1.2 innings with three strikeouts. Jaenke has 21 strikeouts in just 12.1 innings pitched this season with a 15.33 K/9. Garrett Mclaughlin tallied the final out for St. Cloud in 0.1 innings of work, with a strikeout.

The Rox return home on Sunday, June 25th, for a 4:05 first pitch in the second game of a home-and-home series against the Mankato MoonDogs. At the ballpark, there will be "Books & Baseball"!
