Rivermen to Host Ameren Cilco Night on Friday, February 13

Peoria, Ill. (February 5, 2004) – General Manager Bart Rogers of the Peoria Rivermen of the ECHL announced today that the team will hold Ameren Cilco Night on Friday, February 13, when the Rivermen face off against the Pacific Division's Idaho Steelheads.

As part of the night, the first 5,000 fans will receive Rivermen, Ameren Cilco Thunder Sticks. During the second intermission, 10 lucky fans will be selected from the crowd to participate in the Ameren Cilco Charity Shootout to benefit the United Way. Each fan will get two shots at an empty net from the blue line. If any one of the participants scores two goals during their turn, $500 will be donated to the United Way and as much as $5,000 could be donated if each participant scores two goals.

All 10 Ameren Cilco Charity Shootout participants will receive a Rivermen prize package as well.

"Ameren Cilco is one of our Championship Partners," Rogers said. "We believe events like Ameren Cilco Night and the Ameren Cilco Charity Shootout to benefit the United Way are tremendous vehicles to make it happen for the community."

It is also a Coca-Cola Finally Friday on February 13. Fans receive a 2-for-1 Upper Bowl Admission when they present a Cherry Coke or Vanilla Coke can at the Carver Arena Box Office.

On Friday, February 6, the Rivermen face off against the rival Johnstown Chiefs in the first of two in a row between the clubs and the second game of a five-game, nine-day road trip. Game time is 6:00 p.m. CT at the Cambria County War Memorial. The Peoria Rivermen are a member of the ECHL – America's Premier "AA" Hockey League.
