Bakersfield Condors News Release

Bakersfield, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL have announced the trade of winger Denis Ladouceur to the Alaska Aces in exchange for D Valdemar Pelikovsky (VAL-duh-mar PELL-uh-KAUV-skee).

Pelikovsky, 24, is in his second season in North America, having played 41 games last season with the Aces. This year, he has 2g-6a-8pts and a +7 defensive rating in 35 games. Ladouceur recorded 10 goals and nine assists in 38 games for Bakersfield. He split his rookie season between the Condors and the Long Beach Ice Dogs last year.

"We're excited to get Valdemar into the lineup," said Head Coach Paul Kelly. "We could use some help on defense right now and he's a good, young player. Denis has been a scorer for us this season and we hate to lose him, but we needed to give up something to fill a need."

The Condors take to the road for a pair of games on Friday and Saturday night. Friday's game is in Long Beach, while the Condors return to Fresno on Saturday. Both games start at 7:30pm. They return home for Poster Giveaway Night on Sunday at 5:00pm against the Trenton Titans. Everyone in attendance will receive a Condors Boogie poster, courtesy of Groove 99.3.

All Condors games can be heard live on KGEO AM 1230, as well as online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com. The "Voice of the Condors" Kevin Bartl handles the play-by-play.

Individual seats may be purchased through the Centennial Garden box office, which opens at 10:00am Monday through Saturday, and at noon on Sunday game days. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster location. Fans can purchase season tickets, mini-packs and group outings by phoning the Condors office at 324-PUCK (7825), or stopping by the office in Centennial Garden next to the ticket windows.
