February 24 CAT Racing Scott Wimmer Appearance Postponed

Peoria, Ill. (February 5, 2004) – General Manager Bart Rogers of the Peoria Rivermen of the ECHL announced today that the February 24 appearance by Scott Wimmer – CAT Racing's new No. 22 car driver in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series – has been postponed. The appearance will be rescheduled at a future date.

"We regret any inconvenience this causes our fans, who were looking forward to meeting CAT's new NASCAR driver," Rogers said. "We intend on making every effort to reschedule his appearance at a suitable time in the future."

On Friday, February 6, the Rivermen face off against the rival Johnstown Chiefs in the first of two in a row between the clubs and the second game of a five-game, nine-day road trip. Game time is 6:00 p.m. CT at the Cambria County War Memorial. The Peoria Rivermen are a member of the ECHL – America's Premier "AA" Hockey League.
