
Rivermen Sign Pascal Rheaume To PTO

PEORIA, Ill. (April 3, 2010) - Peoria Rivermen General Manager Kevin McDonald announced today that the club has signed center Pascal Rhéaume to a professional tryout contract. Rheaume will join the club for Saturday's game with the Lake Erie Monsters.
Rhéaume, 36, had been playing with the Flint Generals of the International Hockey League this season where he has 46 points (14g, 32a) in 64 games. He has also appeared in one game for the AHL's Manchester Monarchs and did not record a point.
A veteran of 318 NHL games, Rhéaume appeared in 148 with the St. Louis Blues over parts of five seasons. He has also played for the New Jersey Devils, Chicago Blackhawks, Atlanta Thrashers, New York Rangers and Phoenix Coyotes over his 17-year professional career. He was a member of the 2003 Stanley Cup Champion Devils. He has 39 goals and 52 assists and 144 penalty minutes at the NHL level and last season, Rhéaume registered 30 points in 56 games with the AHL Lowell Devils.
Pascal is the younger brother of Manon Rhéaume, the first woman to appear in an NHL preseason game
