Peoria, IL (November 11, 2005) - St. Louis Blues Senior Vice-president and General Manager Larry Pleau today announced the club has recalled goaltender Curtis Sanford from the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen, and assigned defenseman Jeff Woywitka to Peoria.
Sanford, 26, leads the Rivermen with a 1.84 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage in six games this season while owning a 4-2-0 record with two shutouts. His goals-against average is fourth-best in the AHL, and he is tied for seventh in save percentage and tied for second in shutouts.
