Peoria Rivermen News Release

Peoria, IL (November 11, 2005) - General Manager of Hockey Operations Kevin McDonald of the Peoria Rivermen, proud new primary affiliate of the St. Louis Blues, announced today that the team has recalled goaltender Chris Beckford-Tseu from his loan to the ECHL Alaska Aces, Peoria's primary affiliate club.

Beckford-Tseu, 21, returns to the Rivermen after having participated in the team's 2005-06 training camp. The Rivermen assigned him to the Alaska Aces on October 5, just prior to the opening of the current American Hockey League (AHL) season. Measuring 6-3 and 205 pounds, Beckford-Tseu was named the Reebok Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week for the period ended October 30. Soon thereafter, he received the RBC Financial Group ECHL Saver of the Month award for October. In four games played with the Aces so far this season, the Toronto native has posted a 3-0-0 record, a 1.73 goals-against average, and a .940 save percentage with one shutout. Beckford-Tseu was originally selected by the St. Louis Blues in the fifth round, 159th overall, of the 2003 National Hockey League Entry Draft.

The Rivermen are a proud new member of the AHL. Founded in 1936, the AHL now serves as the primary development league for all 30 National Hockey League teams and is celebrating its 70th anniversary season in 2005-06.
