Peoria, Ill. (October 25, 2004) â The Peoria Rivermen of the ECHL announced today that center Tyler Rennette and left wing Randy Rowe will appear at the Fourth Annual Special Olympics Celebrity Waiter Dinner in Bloomington, Ill., tonight â October 25 from 6-9:00 p.m., and Captain Trevor Baker and right wing Travis Rycroft will appear at Washburn Junior/Senior High Schools Wednesday, October 27 at 1:30 p.m.
Rennette and Rowe will serve as celebrity waiters from 6-9:00 p.m. at the Central Station Café in Bloomington, Ill. for the Special Olympics fundraiser, which will feature Chicago Cub Legend Ferguson Jenkins.
Baker and Rycroft will speak to approximately 300 students as part of Red Ribbon Week, a Drug & Alcohol Awareness week, in which students participate in various activities showing their support for being drug-free.
The Peoria Rivermen are a proud affiliate of the NHL's St. Louis Blues and a member of the ECHL â America's Premier "AA" Hockey League. Peoria continues its 36-game home schedule on Saturday, October, when they host the archrival Dayton Bombers at Carver Arena.
