PRIDE NOTES

Ø Dating back to the end of last season, the Pride are unbeaten in their last nine home games (8-0-1).

Ø Kyle Kidney scored the first goal of the season for the Pride on Friday night. This is the second year in a row that Kidney has scored the team's first goal of the season.

Ø Friday night's win was the first opening night win for the Pride since the 2001-02 season. Pee Dee opened that season with a 3-0-0 record.

Ø Friday's attendance of 4,840 was an increase of 26% over last year's opening night attendance (3,592). It was the Pride's largest crowd since March 22, 2003.

Ø It was a good opening weekend for Pee Dee's special teams. The penalty kill was a perfect 12-for-12, and the power play, after going scoreless on its first five opportunities, was successful on its final two chances.
