
Rivermen Announce Date Change for Atlantic City Road Game

Peoria, Ill. (January 6, 2004) â President John Butler of the Peoria Rivermen of the ECHL announced today that the team's Saturday, March 20 road game in Atlantic City has been moved to Wednesday, February 4 due to scheduling conflicts with Atlantic City's home venue â Boardwalk Hall.
The move shortens a seven-game, nine-day eastern road trip to six games in eight days. The Rivermen will open the season's longest road trip in Toledo on Friday, March 12 and Saturday, March 13. From there, the Rivermen move on to Wheeling for a Sunday, March 14 game. On Tuesday, March 16, the Rivermen play in Reading and then move on to Trenton on Wednesday, March 17. The trip will now conclude with just a single game on Friday, March 19 in Atlantic City.
The road schedule change also extends a three-game, three-day road trip in early February to four games in six days. The team will now play in Atlantic City on Wednesday, February 4 before traveling to Johnstown for games on Friday, February 6 and Saturday, February 7. The four-game trip will conclude Sunday, February 8 in Toledo.
The Rivermen face off against the Las Vegas Wranglers in two in a row on the road on Friday, January 9 and Saturday, January 10. Game times are 9:00 p.m. at the Orleans Arena.
The Rivermen are a member of the ECHL â America's Premier AA Hockey League. Peoria will host the 2004 Par-A-Dice ECHL All-Star Game & Skills Competition on Tuesday, January 20 and Wednesday, January 21. Tickets for the Skills Competition are $5 each for all seating sections.
