
Chiefs Sign Former NHL Player

Johnstown, PA- Johnstown Chiefs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Toby O'Brien announced today that they have signed former Vancouver Canucks left wing Larry Courville (CORE-ville).
Courville, 28, appeared in 33 games for Vancouver between the 1995-96 season and 1997-98 season, scoring a goal and three points. The 6'1, 180 LBS native of Timmins, ONT spent the majority of his career in the American Hockey League with Syracuse, and Kentucky. In 425 AHL regular season games, Courville has 92 goals and 322 points to go along with 788 PIM.
Courville was drafted twice by NHL teams. In 1993, the Winnipeg Jets selected him in the 5th round (119th overall). Unable to agree to terms with Winnipeg, Courville re-entered the 1995 draft where Vancouver selected him in the 3rd round (61st overall).
Courville will be available for the Chiefs game tomorrow night at Trenton.
The Chiefs are back in action Wednesday night when they visit the Trenton Titans at 7:00 p.m. Friday night, they host the Cincinnati Cyclones and Saturday night the Reading Royals.
