November 26, 2010 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Peoria Rivermen News Release
The Peoria Rivermen and Cybernautic - Web Design have teamed up to launch an all-new version of the team's website ( www.rivermen.net). The completely revamped site features a fresh look, new features, an easy-to-navigate design and a full integration of both Facebook and Twitter.
"We are so proud of the product that we have put together for our fans with this new web site," said Rivermen COO Jason Penning. "Chad Parker and Craig Hopper at Cybernautic have put in countless hours to make this site fun and informative and an overall great experience for anyone who visits."
More than just a tweak of the home page, every element of the new site has been designed from its previous version. All-new ticket pages and promotional calendars make it very easy to find all the information for the upcoming games. A video player has been added to the home page to allow fans to watch highlights with one click of the mouse. Desktop wallpapers are available to download and photos from each home game, as well as the team's visits throughout the community, are cataloged on the new site.
"Our goal for the new Peoria Rivermen website is to significantly improve the user interface for anyone using the site, while giving the Rivermen staff maximum control over the content on the website," said Chad Parker, President & CEO of Cybernautic. "Working with the Peoria Rivermen and St. Louis Blues organizations has elevated our already high level of respect for the work they do on a daily basis to deliver high quality hockey to their fans in Peoria and around the world. The new rivermen.net website is a testament of their dedication to the best hockey fans in the league."
With the explosion of social media, the new site allows fans to post news and information to their Facebook or Twitter accounts without leaving the page they're on. The Rivermen have also increased their community involvement presence on the site with an event calendar as well as information on the educational programs that they are involved in.
An expanded Peoria Rivermen Hall of Fame section is also under construction and will be completed soon. More content is constantly being added so check www.rivermen.net to see the latest from the Rivermen.
