Cedar Park, TX - The Texas Stars (11-8-0-0, 22 points) were defeated by the Milwaukee Admirals (10-6-1-3, 24 points) 1-0 in front of 5,198 fans on Friday at Cedar Park Center. Milwaukee goalie Mark Dekanich (9-3-2) stopped 29 shots for his third shutout of the season, ending the Admirals four-game winless skid (0-3-0-1). Milwaukee center Steve Begin broke a scoreless game with 6:34 left in the third period to give the Admirals the win. Texas goalie Richard Bachman (6-3-0) stopped 28 of 29 shots in the loss. The Stars host the San Antonio Rampage on Saturday at 7:00 pm at Cedar Park Center.
Milwaukee center Steve Begin scored the only goal of the night at 13:26 after two scoreless periods of play. Begin fired a shot from the left-wing circle to notch his second goal of the season. Defenseman Grant Lewis and forward Ryan Thang both provided assists on the play for the Admirals 1-0 win.
Texas welcomes the San Antonio Rampage on Saturday, November 27th for a 7:00 PM faceoff at Cedar Park Center. The first 2,500 fans receive a Texas Stars ball cap. Also, fans may purchase the State Farm Family Four Pack (4 tickets, 4 sodas, 4 hot dogs = $44 (while available)). The Stars will face the Oklahoma City Barons on Tuesday, November 30th at 7:30pm at Cedar Park Center.
