Hamilton Bulldogs News Release


Ottawa, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Binghamton Senators 1-0 on Friday night at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, Ontario. The Bulldogs broke a scoreless game in the third period on a goal by Alexander Avtsin while the 'Dogs earned their first shutout of the season with the win.

Following two scoreless periods, the Bulldogs opened the game's scoring at 13:28 of the third period. Alexander Avtsin received the puck from Aaron Palushaj before firing a shot towards the net. The puck bounced off the backboards before deflecting back towards the net and rolling down the back of Binghamton starting goaltender Robin Lehner and across the goal line.

Curtis Sanford began the game in net for the Hamilton Bulldogs but was replaced by Robert Mayer to start the second period. Sanford made eight saves on eight shots in the first stanza while Mayer made 25 saves on 25 shots as they two shared the shutout

The 'Dogs will finish their road trip when they travel to Syracuse to battle the Crunch on Sunday, November 28th at 3:00 p.m. All regular season Hamilton Bulldogs broadcasts on AM 820 CHAM will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
