Wild Reassigns Kassian to Aeros

HOUSTON --- Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned forward Matt Kassian to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Kassian, 24 (10/28/86), was called up Wednesday for his second stint this season with the Wild. He has averaged 5:17 time on ice (TOI) and has 12 penalty minutes (PIM) in three games with the Wild. Kassian has two points (1-1=2) and a team-high 50 PIM in 17 games with the Aeros this season. Kassian was originally recalled by the Wild Nov. 3 and made his NHL debut Friday, Nov. 5 against Calgary. The 6-foot-5, 252-pound native of Edmonton, Alberta, was originally selected by Minnesota in the second round (No. 57 overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
