RiverKings Fan Club Sponsors Year End Awards Balloting

SOUTHAVEN, MS --- Next weekend, fans of the Mississippi RiverKings will have the chance to decide this year's Best of the Best for your 2010-11 RiverKings.

The RiverKings Fan Club is sponsoring awards this season for the top RiverKings players in the following categories: Best Offensive Player, Best Defensive Player, Rookie of the Year, Most Valuable Player, and Fan Favorite.

All RiverKings fans can vote for your favorite players in these categories next weekend, when the team hosts the Texas Brahmas at Southaven's DeSoto Civic Center. All you need to do is stop by the RiverKings Fan Club table behind section 118 during the games Friday, March 18th and Saturday, March 19th and pick up a ballot. Find out more about the voting process when you visit the Fan Club table.

Voting will end at the conclusion of Saturday's game with the award winners to be announced prior to the March 25th home game against the Allen Americans.

Voting again is open to ALL fans attending next weekend's games, so stop by the RiverKings Fan Club table behind section 118 at Southaven's DeSoto Civic Center and cast your vote for your favorite RiverKing.

The RiverKings are in action tonight against the Wichita Thunder at the INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, starting at 7:05 PM. Coverage of tonight's game will be on the Official Flagship Radio Station for the RiverKings, Sports 56, WHBQ-AM, with pre-game coverage starting at 6:50 PM. Tonight's game is also available at www.sports56whbq.com and a video webcast is available via CHL-TV accessed at the Watch Live button on the team Internet home page.
