Harrisburg, PA - RHP Joe Norrito was added to the Senators' roster this morning from Potomac and will start today against the Akron Aeros at Commerce Bank Park. The Senators were in need of additional pitching depth as they get set to play their eleventh game in nine days.

Norrito, 25, has pitched at both Triple-A Columbus and Advanced-A Potomac this season. He worked two games out of the Clippers' bullpen in late April, going 3.1 innings and allowing 2 earned runs. Norrito then went to Potomac, where he drew two starts among five appearances and went 2-0. In his last two games (both starts), he fired 11 scoreless innings and struck out eight.

This is his fifth professional season, his first with the Nationals. Norrito was selected in the 48th round of the 2004 draft by the Dodgers out of Nova Southeastern (FL) University.
