
Eastern League All-Star Voting Starts Friday

Portland, Maine- Fan voting for the 2008 Eastern League All-Star Game will begin on Friday, May 30th. Fans will be able to select one position player and one pitcher from their hometown team to the Eastern League All-Star Game. The 2008 Eastern League All-star Game will be played at Merchantsauto.com Stadium in Manchester, New Hampshire, home of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, on Wednesday, July 16th.
To vote for your top Sea Dogs' players log onto to www.seadogs.com and click on the All-Star voting banner. Fans can also log onto www.easternleague.com to select players from the other teams in the league. The results from the fan voting will be used to select one position player and one pitcher from each of the 12 Eastern League clubs to their All-Star roster from their respective division. The remainder of the 2008 Eastern League All-Star Game rosters will be determined through Eastern League field managers, media personnel, and league officials.
Eastern League All-Star voting will run from May 30th through June 26th. The final Northern Division and Southern Division All-star rosters will be unveiled on Wednesday, July 2nd.
The Portland Sea Dogs travel to Manchester, New Hampshire this weekend for a four game set with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays). The Sea Dogs will return to Hadlock Field on Tuesday, June 3rd at 6:00 PM against the Erie SeaWolves (Tigers). Tickets for all Sea Dogs' home games are available.
