Reno, NV. - Despite taking an early, 2-0 lead in the second inning, the Aces dropped their third straight game to Fresno. Ben Lively started his day with four innings of one-hit ball, but ended the day giving up five earned runs and striking out seven. Reno kicked off the scoring with a Carlos Asuaje RBI ground out, after which Ben DeLuzio scored on a wild pitch. The Grizzlies took the lead in the 5th with the help of a Brandon Snyder home run and Matt Reynolds double. The Aces tied the game in the bottom half of the inning, but the Grizzlies took the lead back in the 6th, and after scoring six runs the 7th inning, never looked back and came away with an 11-4 win. The Aces have a scheduled off-day tomorrow but are back at Greater Nevada Field on Tuesday for a three-game series against the Tacoma Rainiers.

Seven+: With seven strikeouts this afternoon. Ben Lively joins Braden Shipley and Taylor Widener as the only Aces starters this season with multiple starts of seven or more strikeouts. Taylor Widener leads the Reno pitching staff with four. Shipley has recorded three starts with seven or more strikeouts and Lively's last 7+ strikeout performance came on July 16 vs. El Paso. Matt Koch, Taylor Clarke and Alex Young have all recorded one game with 7+ K's.

Well rested: With a league-wide off day slated for tomorrow, the Aces will look to move above .500 in contests following an off day. Reno is currently 3-3 overall in 2019 and 1-0 this month. Their last off day, excluding the All-Star break, came on June 19th. Reno defeated the Albuquerque Isotopes on June 20th by a score of 6-4 in the Duke City.
