TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: The seventh of eight meetings and the Generals fourth and final visit to Richmond this season. ‘Gades are 2-3-1 vs. the Generals, 1-1-1 here. Richmond is winless in their last four vs. Greensboro. They have been outscored 12-4 in the last two vs. the Generals. Lars Pettersen has six points vs. Greensboro. Mark Turner has eight vs. Richmond. The ‘Gades are seventh in the Northeast Division with 49 points. They are eight points behind fourth place Trenton. Greensboro is second in the Northeast. They are three points behind Atlantic City with one game in hand.

LAST ACTION: The ‘Gades lost 4-2 here Saturday to Johnstown. The Chiefs jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second period. Richmond rallied to get within a goal but the Chiefs scored an empty-netter to put it away. Martin Bartek scored both Richmond goals in his ‘Gades debut. Johnstown was 2-4 on the power play. Richmond out-shot the Chiefs 18-7 in the second period. Greensboro lost to the Chiefs 4-3 in a shootout at Johnstown Sunday. The Generals opened up a 3-0 lead early in the third period but the Chiefs scrambled back to score three goals in just over nine minutes to tie the game. The Chiefs out-shot the Generals 9-1 in overtime, helped in part by a power play, but needed six rounds in the shootout to win.

‘GADES NOTES: This is game five of a six game homestand (Richmond is 2-2). Starting tonight the ‘Gades play six straight games vs. Northeast Division rivals. Richmond has out-shot six straight opponents by an average of just under 10 per game. The ‘Gades are averaging 38 shots on goal per game over the last six contests. The ‘Gades have been perfect on the penalty kill in their last eight wins. Josh Harrold and Martin Bartek, acquired in a trade from Pensacola last week, each picked up points in their Richmond debuts. Harrold had an assist in his first game as a ‘Gade. Bartek had two goals in his Richmond debut. Jonathan St. Louis and Tyler Palmer remain on IR. Richmond is 7 for their last 16 on the power play. Brad Church has points in four straight games. Jon Zion and Russ Bartlett's three game scoring streaks ended Saturday. Richmond is third in the ECHL in fewest shots on goal allowed per game (29.7).

GENERALS NOTES: The ‘Generals are winless in their last three games, their first three game winless streak since October. This is game three of a five game road trip (the Generals are 0-1-1 thus far). The Generals have already set a club record for wins in a season. Greensboro is fourth in the league in goals against average (2.81). They are third in the league in shots on goal (34.7). Greensboro is second in penalty killing (85.4%) and sixth in power play (21.5%). Daniel Berthiaume is 10th in the league in goals against average.

NEXT UP: The ‘Gades host Reading here tomorrow night. It is "Racin' with the Renegades and RIR night." The ‘Gades will wear NASCAR theme jerseys that will be autographed by NASCAR drivers and auctioned off at the end of the season. The first 1000 fans will receive NASCAR mouse pads compliments of Jana-King. Game time is 7:35 (7:20 100.3). The Generals visit Greenville tomorrow night.
