Dublin Pub and 'SCOR' American Eatery & Pub to Present 'Behind the Bench'

The Dayton Bombers have announced that they will be partnering with Dublin Pub (300 Wayne Avenue in the Historic Oregon District) and its new sister restaurant, "SCOR" American Eatery & Pub (Sugar Bell Plaza on State Route 725 in Bellbrook), to present the Dayton Bombers' "Behind the Bench" Coach's Show to be held live before a studio audience.

The six-program run, featuring host/Bombers' play-by-play voice Matt Gorsky and the Bombers' all-time winningest Head Coach Greg Ireland, will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on select non-game days (see below schedule) throughout the rest of the season. Fans are welcome to speak out at these events. Members of the live studio audience will get a chance to ask questions of the broadcast panel.

"These fun, 'hockey get-togethers' in two unique restaurant settings will be truly interactive experiences, with fans able to 'rant and rave' in a specialized forum focused solely on the sport," said Gorsky. Head Coach Ireland added, "There is nothing like being able to discuss hockey with fans in a quality establishment. As a proud Irishman, I am particularly looking forward to the debut show at the Dublin Pub in the Historic Oregon District on Wednesday, February 19." Five shows at the new SCOR American Eatery & Pub, set to open later this month, will follow. Below is a list of the full show schedule with locations, all of which will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m.:

Dublin Pub, located in Dayton's Historic Oregon District, is Dayton's only authentic Irish Pub and five-year recipient of the Perfect Pint Award. The owners of Dublin Pub are getting set for the grand opening of the SCOR American Eatery & Pub later this month. SCOR American Eatery & Pub will specialize in large portion lunches and dinners. The presenting sponsor of the Bombers' "Ultimate Sports Bar" Night at the Ervin J. Nutter Center on Saturday, March 22 (7:30 p.m.), SCOR American Eatery & Pub will provide 18 TVs for sports fans' enjoyment. SCOR's perfect draft pint system is what you can come to expect from the owners of Dublin Pub.

The Dayton Bombers will be having a pair of 7:30 p.m. home games featuring special promotional activities at the Ervin J. Nutter Center this Friday and Saturday. As with all remaining home games at the Nutter Center this season, students with a valid ID or those under 18 can receive admission for just $5.

The Dayton Bombers Professional Hockey Team (ECHL), which has begun a season-long, five-game homestand by taking five out of a possible six points (2-0-1), will be having Mardi Gras Night at the Ervin J. Nutter Center this Friday (7:30 p.m.) when the Lexington Men O'War come to town. The Bombers will be offering $2 Hurricanes at this game. In addition, the Bombers will be handing out Mardi Gras beads at the door and will be presenting an intermission Mardi Gras Costume Contest. Music will be supplied after the game, courtesy of Kiko Rio. Furthermore, the United States Army will have a recruiting booth on the Nutter Center concourse during the game. Ask about how you can become an "ARMY OF ONE."

On Saturday, the Bombers will be having another $1 Beer Night when they take on their intrastate rivals, the Cincinnati Cyclones for another 7:30 p.m. tilt. Also at this game, Ohio Lottery will be presenting the $1,000,000 Shot Contest. 20 finalists will win prizes, but only one fan will get a shot at the Ohio Lottery $1,000,000 Shot, presented by Wright-Patt Credit Union.

The Bombers will cap the weekend with a Northwest Division road clash against the Toledo Storm at the Toledo Sports Arena on Sunday afternoon (3:00 p.m. game time/ 2:45 p.m. broadcast time on www.daytonbombers.com- "Listen Live" Section- in association with www.sportsjuice.com).
