Rochester Red Wings News Release
ROCHESTER, NY - With the Pawtucket Red Sox coming to town, New England's Triple-A baseball team, the Rochester Red Wings are offering a special ticket deal for Thursday's game vs. the PawSox.
Fans who bring a fully inflated ball (basketball, football, volleyball, soccer, etc.) or another piece of gently used sports equipment (baseball glove, bat, golf clubs, hockey stick etc.) will receive $2 off their tickets (limit four tickets per item) to Thursday's game vs. Pawtucket. All items will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Rochester.
"Our kids will greatly benefit from the donation of these fully inflated balls and we look forward to our community responding to this promotion to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Rochester. We appreciate the Red Wings making this event possible," Boys and Girls Club of Rochester Executive Director Dwayne Mahoney said.
The Red Wings will be serving cuisine featuring industry standard PSI. Mashed potato balls, with a PSI of 2.31, will be available at the Batter Up stand on the third base side. Arancini, with a PSI of 3.24, will be available at Calabria's on the third base concourse. Finally, cotton candy, with a PSI of 0.012, will be available at the Sweet Spot in right field. As always, our overinflated blooming onion is also available at Batter Up.
In addition, any fan who donates a ball or piece of sports equipment will be put into a drawing to win two tickets to the LeSean McCoy Celebrity Softball Game on June 13 at Frontier Field. The lucky winner will also receive a signed baseball from LeSean McCoy.
McCoy and some of his Buffalo Bills teammates will be taking on a team of local heroes comprised of police and firefighters. Thurman Thomas, Rex Ryan, Sammy Watkins and Percy Harvin are among those scheduled to participate on June 13 at 7 p.m. On Thursday, fans who buy one ticket can get the second at half price using the special offer code MCCOY.
