See Matt Wieters, All-Star Catcher, at Harbor Park Tonight

June 2, 2015 - International League (IL1)
Norfolk Tides News Release

Matt Wieters, All-Star catcher for the Orioles, is expected to make a rehab start for the Tides in tonight's game versus the Gwinnett Braves. Wieters last wore a Tides uniform in 2009, appearing in 39 games for the Tides before making his Major League debut with the Orioles in May 2009.

Since his rookie season in 2009, Wieters has been named an All-Star three times and won two Gold Glove awards. And, if all goes according to plan, you will see him wearing a Tides uniform at Harbor Park tonight.

Plus, the probable starting pitcher for the Tides tonight is Bud Norris, also making a rehab appearance. Norris pitched his way to a 15-8 record for the Orioles in 2014 with an ERA of 3.65. That's Major League talent on the mound and behind the plate. All we can say is "Good luck Gwinnett. You're gonna need it."
