Red Sox Recall INF Tzu-Wei Lin from Triple-A Pawtucket

Prior to tonight's game against the New York Yankees, the Boston Red Sox recalled infielder Tzu-Wei Lin from Triple-A Pawtucket.
President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski made the announcement.
Lin, 24, made his major league debut in 2017 after having never played above the Double-A level prior to the season. He appeared in 25 games (15 starts) over two stints with Boston, hitting .268 (15-for-56) with a .369 on-base percentage and making six starts at shortstop, six at third base, and three at second base. In two games with the PawSox this season-both starts at shortstop-he went 3-for-6 with two walks. Ranked by Baseball America as the No. 21 prospect in Boston's organization, Lin has spent his entire professional career in the Red Sox system since signing as an international free agent in June 2012. He has appeared in 501 minor league games, making 393 starts at shortstop.
