Rams Drives In Winning Run over Kernels

Snappers' catcher Danny Rams delivered the game ender with an RBI single over the head of Cedar Rapids left fielder Justin Bass in the bottom of the ninth inning to beat the Kernels 5-4 Monday night at Pohlman Field.

The Kernels jumped out to a 4-0 lead before Snappers first baseman Michael Gonzales hit his team leading ninth home run as he cut the lead down to one. Later in the fifth inning Aaron Hicks singled up the middle to tie the game at four with Danny Rams scoring the run.

With one out and Wang Wei Lin pinch running for Gonzales Rams stepped to the plate to put the final nail in the coffin for the Kernels as Lin scored off the base hit to left giving the Snappers the victory.

The "Brodie Trophy Player of the Game" goes to Michael Gonzales who went 2-for-4 at the plate with three RBI's with a run scored.

The Snappers look to take the series tomorrow night as right hander Miguel Munoz will make the start for the Snappers with game time at 7:00PM.
