Fort Wayne TinCaps (1-2, 37-36) at Dayton Dragons (0-3, 30-42)

LH Nick Greenwood (4-3, 3.96) vs. LH Justin Walker (1-8, 4.88)

Today's Game: The Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) host the TinCaps (affiliate of the San Diego Padres) in the first game of a three-game set. Season Series: Dayton 5, Fort Wayne 4. Dayton has won all three meetings at Fifth Third Field.

Streaks: Dayton: Lost 4. Fort Wayne: Won 1 (7-4 over last 11 games).

Last Game: Lansing pushed across the winning run on a bases loaded walk with no one out in the 11th inning to defeat the Dragons 5-4 and sweep the three-game series. The Lugnuts survived a game-tying grand slam home run with two outs in the top of the ninth inning by Dayton's Cameron Satterwhite. They also survived a Dragons rally in the top of the 11th as Dayton advanced the tie-breaking run to third with no outs but could not get him in. Dayton committed four errors and trailed 4-0 going to the ninth before Satterwhite tied the game. Dragons reliever Mike Konstanty gave the club a career-high four innings of relief before tiring in the 11th. The Lugnuts winning rally came when the first four batters reached safely in the 11th despite only one ball being put in play, a misplayed sacrifice bunt.

Today's Starting Pitcher: Justin Walker makes his 11th start of the season tonight after beginning the year in the Dayton bullpen. In his last start on June 17 at Fort Wayne, he was not involved in the decision (6.0 IP, 3 H, 4 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 6 SO). Walker has gone six innings in eight of his 10 starts and leads the club in quality starts with four. He has posted a 2.00 ERA in three starts in June, allowing four earned runs in 18 innings, but is 0-1. Walker split 2009 season between Dayton and Billings, going a combined 1-5, 3.65. He worked 56.2 innings, allowing 59 hits with 10 walks and 54 strikeouts. He walked just seven batters in 65 innings of college baseball in 2008 with Lamar University, going 2-2, 4.85 in 19 games (seven starts). He posted a combined record of 18-1 over his junior and senior seasons at Nederland High School in Nederland, Texas.
