GRAND CHUTE, WI - The honors keep rolling in for Khris Davis. The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers outfielder was named as the Midwest League Batter of the Week early on Monday afternoon in recognition of his hot start to the second half of the season.

Davis, who won the Midwest League Home Run Derby last Monday and was the starting left fielder for the West Division in the MWL All-Star Game last Tuesday in Fort Wayne, went 5-for-11 (.455) with a pair of homers and a pair of doubles as the Rattlers swept a three-game series from the Burlington Bees this past weekend. Davis homered in each of the first two games of the series to run his season total to 10. He drove in four runs and scored three in the series against the Bees.

The 7th round selection of the Milwaukee Brewers out of Cal State Fullerton University in the 2009 draft is the first Timber Rattlers player to win the Midwest League Batter of the week since Rob Garth on June 16, 2008. Davis is hitting .300 and has driven in 38 runs so far in 2010.

Davis and the rest the Timber Rattlers will try to extend their five-game winning streak tonight at Time Warner Cable Field. The Quad Cities River Bandits are in town to start a three-game series. Game time on Monday and Tuesday is 7:05pm. The Rattlers have Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Doug Davis making a rehab start at 12:05pm on Wednesday afternoon.

Tickets are available for the three games against the River bandits and for all 2010 Timber Rattlers home games and may be purchased one of three ways: On-line at www.timberrattlers.com, over the phone at 800-WI-TIMBER, or in person at the Time Warner Cable Field Box Office.
