November 8, 2004 - American Hockey League (AHL)
San Antonio Rampage News Release
Travis Scott Keeping Rampage in AHL West Hunt After taking five out of eight possible points on a recent roadtrip, the Rampage returned home to play two of three home games last weekend. Opening with Syracuse on Friday, November 5, Petr Taticek converted the Rob Globke and Lukas Krajicek feed into a 1-0 lead. Travis Scott turned away all 38 shots he faced to help Taticek's goal hold up as the game-winner in a 5-0 victory. Scott picked up his 21st career American Hockey League shutout, most all-time by active goalies. Rookie Greg Jacina scored two goals, fourth and fifth of the season, and added an assist on Juraj Kolnik âs second period score to give him three points on the night. Rob Globke, who earlier recorded his first AHL point, assisting on Taticek's goal, scored his first professional goal at 16:51 into the third period. Grant McNeill also recorded his first career AHL point with an assist on Jacina's second goal with 15 seconds to play.
On Sunday, the Rampage hosted West Division-leading Milwaukee, who they took to overtime six days earlier to earn a point in the standings. Early penalties plagued the Rampage and Milwaukee capitalized on two first period power play opportunities to put San Antonio in a 2-0 hole after the opening period. Despite giving up two of 14 shots in the first period, goalie Scott kept San Antonio within striking distance with his play between the pipes, finishing the night with 22 saves on 24 shots. Milwaukee goaltender Brian Finley did his part to shutdown and shutout the Rampage 3-0.
