Bulldogs take five of six points against Cleveland

November 8, 2004 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hamilton Bulldogs News Release

The Hamilton Bulldogs had a successful three-game series versus the Cleveland Barons last week earning five of a possible six points. Leading the way offensively for the Bulldogs was, again, Tomas Plekanec, who recorded two goals and four assists in the three games.

On Tuesday the team traveled to Cleveland and defeated the Barons 5-1 on goals scored in almost every possible scenario including power play, penalty kill, even strength and on a penalty shot. The team then hosted the Barons in Hamilton, beating them 3-1 on Friday before dropping a 4-3 overtime decision on Saturday evening.

The Bulldogs now sit third in the North Division with a record of 6-3-3-0, good for 15 points. Manitoba and Edmonton are each tied for first with 17 points and have a game in hand on the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs will look to take over first place in the division this week as they travel to Rochester on Wednesday to take on the Amerks before returning to Hamilton to host the Binghamton Senators on Friday and the Cleveland Barons once again on Saturday.

Bulldogs fans can listen to Derek Wills call all the action live on-line at www.hamiltonbulldogs.com or on AM 820-CHAM.
