The Albany River Rats return to Pepsi Arena for their second consecutive home game against the Norfolk Admirals this Friday night at . The Admirals (6-4-0-1, 3rd East) are coming off a 6-2 loss to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on the road Sunday evening and will visit Binghamton on Wednesday night. RW Matt Keith tops the club with nine (3-6) points and 33 shots in 11 games for the top affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks. G Craig Anderson, who is undefeated in regulation (5-0-1), leads all league goaltenders with two shutouts, ranks second with a 1.29 goals against average and with a .957 save percentage. Albany holds a 2-10-2-2 record in the all-time regular season series against Norfolk, with a 2-5-1 mark on home ice. The River Rats lost their first ever shootout by a 2-1 at Norfolk on October 27th and then fell 3-0 to the Admirals at Pepsi Arena three days later. The teams play another three times after Friday; Albany - February 21st; Norfolk - April 8th & 9th.
Albany then heads out to Maine to square off against the Portland Pirates in the club's only visit to the Cumberland County Civic Center on Saturday at 7:05pm. The Pirates (6-4-1-0, 4th Atlantic) dropped a 3-1 decision to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at home yesterday and begin a home-and-home with Lowell on Thursday night. C Trent Whitfield leads the way with 10 (5-5) points, including two shorthanded goals in 11 games during the 2004-05 campaign. D Michel Periard is tied for fourth among league blueliners with nine (2-7) points for the top affiliate of the Washington Capitals. Albany shows a 15-13-5-3 record in the all-time regular season series versus Portland, including a 7-7-1-3 record away from home. The River Rats host the Pirates on Friday, February 11th at 7:00pm in the only meeting between the clubs at Albany's Pepsi Arena.

* C Pascal Rheaume's shorthanded goal on Saturday in Manchester moved him into third place on Albany's goal scoring list with 86 tallies. He is also just two points away from 200 (86-113) as a River Rat.
* RW Aaron Voros ranks second in the AHL with four power play goals and leads all first-year players with seven goals and 12 points this season.
* LW Rob Skrlac passed D Ken Sutton to move into seventh place on the all-time games played list with 280 games. He ranks second on the PIM list just 38 PIM behind former D Geordie Kinnear.
* G Ari Ahonen passed Frederic Henry for second place by playing in his 128th career game with the Albany River Rats on Sunday. The Finnish netminder is also 113 saves away from the franchise record of 3,709 held by Peter Sidorkiewicz.
