
Syracuse Returns to New York For First Home-And-Home with Rochester

Syracuse returns to New York State after stops in Alberta and Texas for a home-and-home series with their I-90 rivals, the Rochester Americans. Syracuse will conclude there sixth consecutive road game on Friday night in Rochester for the second of 12 regular season meetings between the franchises this season, before returning to the War Memorial at Oncenter for a rematch on Saturday. Syracuse defeated Rochester in the only meeting this season, 3-2 on October 31. The games are the 113th and 114th in the all-time series with the Americans holding the advantage 43-57-13.
SYRACUSE UNABLE TO NET ONE IN LONE STAR STATE: Texas was very unkind to the Crunch this past weekend. In addition to losing games to San Antonio and Houston, Syracuse was held scoreless in both contests to extend their goalless streak to 133:46 (Tim Jackman at the 6:14 mark of the third period â Wednesday night @ Edmonton). It was the first time the Crunch have been shut out in back-to-back games since October 29 â 31, 2003 when they lost back-to-back games @ Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and @ Milwaukee.
THIS WEEK'S OPPONENTS:
ROCHESTER (BUFFALO SABRES): The Crunch conclude their six-game road trip in Rochester on Friday, November 12 and return home on Saturday, November 13 to host the Amerks for the second and third of 12 regular season meetings. Syracuse leads the series 1-0, after defeating the Amerks 3-2 at BlueCross Arena at the War Memorial on Sunday, October 31. Left wing Mike Pandolfo (2g) and defenseman Jamie Pushor (2a) lead all players in head-to-head scoring with two points. Center Chris Taylor leads Rochester in scoring with 13 points (3g, 10a). Pascal Leclaire recorded the win for Syracuse, stopping 34 shots. Ryan Miller appeared in net for Rochester, recording 26 saves.. Lifetime Syracuse is 43-57-13 against the Amerks.
BINGHAMTON (OTTAWA SENATORS): Syracuse travels to Binghamton on Sunday, November 14 for the second of eight regular season meetings. Center Antoine Vermette (1g, 2a) leads all players in head-to-head scoring with three points. Center Jason Spezza (5g, 7a) leads all Senators in scoring with 12 points. Pascal Leclaire appeared in net for Syracuse, recording 24 saves. Ray Emery appeared in between the pipes for Binghamton, making 35 saves. Lifetime Syracuse is 7-8-2 against the Senators.

Taco Bell Night Set For Saturday, November 13: The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Saturday, November 13 game against the Rochester Americans is Taco Bell Night at the Crunch. Local Taco Bell stores will serve as outlets for vouchers good for discounted tickets to Taco Bell Night at the Crunch, courtesy of Taco Bell.
INJURY UPDATE: Left wing Greg Mauldin is expected to miss another week with a separated shoulder, he suffered on Tuesday @ Edmonton. Through 12 games this season, Syracuse has lost three man-games due to injuries. Greg Mauldin - 3, represents the Crunch's injury list this season.
