On the power of strong defensive work and solid goaltending, the Hartford Wolf Pack remain the only undefeated team in the American Hockey League, with a record of 9-0-0-0. The Pack are on top of the heap in the AHL, leading Milwaukee, Manitoba and Edmonton by 1 point. Jason LaBarbera is the league's number one goalie in terms of goals against (0.82) and Craig Weller and Bryce Lampman are currently sitting atop the shooting percentage category for the AHL. Weller's 3 goals on 10 shots gives him the best percentage at .300, with Lampman at number two with a .286 on the power of his 2 goals on 7 shots.
The club has also equalled the franchise record for the longest unbeaten streak (set in February of '02, when the club went 6-0-3 between February 6 and February 23).
This week:
This week the team plays its first four-games-in-five-nights of the season. The club hosts three home games, before heading to Providence for the fourth game of the week on Sunday. The club is closing in on the AHL record for consecutive wins to start a season. The Rochester Americans, coached by current Wolf Pack GM Jim Schoenfeld, set the mark at 11 in 1984. The team could tie the record on Friday at home versus Worcester and set a new league mark on Saturday at home versus Providence. The club has to get by the Hershey Bears on Wednesday first.
Tuesday, November 9 - "Pack Talk" at Little Mark's Big Barbecue on ESPN 1410
* This week's guests Jason LaBarbera and Chad Wiseman will join the
voice of the Wolf Pack, Bob Crawford, at Little Mark's Big Barbecue, 279
West Main Street (Route 44) in Avon from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Fans are invited to
come down to Little Mark's to ask questions live, or to listen in on ESPN
Radio 1410
Wednesday, November 10 versus Hershey - Hartford Civic Center 7:05 p.m.
* The Hershey Bears are currently 3-6-1-0 and sit in last place in the
East Division. The Bears have scored the second fewest goals in the league
with 19 (Utah has 15), but have the second best penalty killing record on
the road, giving up just 1 goal in 17 opportunities.
* Bears' right winger Dennis Bonvie currently has amassed the
second-most penalty minutes in the league with 79 in 10 games played. The
Pack has the third-best penalty killing percentage overall in the league at
92% (9 goals in 51 opportunities).
* There will be an autograph session with three Wolf Pack players
post-game in the mezzanine area ... follow the signs outside the Trumbull
Street exit after the game.

* League MVP Jason LaBarbera will answer questions on the AHL's

Friday, November 12 versus Worcester - Hartford Civic Center 7:05 p.m.
* The IceCats (7-2-1-0) pay their second visit to the Civic Center.
The Wolf Pack defeated the club 2-1 on October 22. The IceCats are
currently third in the Atlantic Division. Worcester had won six games in a
row until being stopped by Manchester on November 5. The club currently has
the least penalty minutes in the league (193).
* Worcester also rates second in the league in goals for (40) taking
on the Wolf Pack's stingiest goals against (9).

Saturday, November 13 versus Providence - Hartford Civic Center 7:05 p.m.
* This is the first game of a home-and-home series with the Bruins.
The teams face off again Sunday night in Providence. The clubs meet 10
times over the regular season.
* The Bruins currently sit in sixth spot in the Atlantic Division with
a record of 3-4-1-2. As of Monday, the club boasts the best powerplay in the
league at over 25% (10 goals in 51 opportunities)
* It's the Wolf Pack's first of two Scout Nights at the Civic Center.
About 4,000 scouts are expected to attend the game
* It's also the 4th annual Sonar Bobblehead collectable giveaway
night. All fans attending the game will receive this collector's piece.
* The amazing Spiderman will be greeting fans at the game, courtesy of
Verizon, FOX 61 and Marvel Comics

Sneak Peek at next week:
Next week, with just two games at the end of the week, the club will launch Volume 4 of the Wolf Pack Foundation's 96.5 TIC-FM's Acoustic Café CD. All proceeds raised from sales of the CD go to the Hartford Wolf Pack Foundation. Players will be at selected Strawberries and Big Y locations next Tuesday and Wednesday for the kickoff.
