December 27, 2013 - American Hockey League (AHL)
San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO (December 27, 2013) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has loaned goaltender Rob Madore to the club's ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones.
Madore, 25, went 0-1-1 through three games for the Rampage this year, making his debut with the Silver and Black on Dec. 18, in a 4-2 loss at Texas. Over the three games, he allowed six goals for a 2.48 goals-against average and a .903 save percentage. The Pittsburgh native started one game for Charlotte while on a tryout agreement with the Checkers, making 25-of-27 saves in the 2-1 loss to Milwaukee. He began the season with Cincinnati, going 8-3-0 through 11 games, posting a 2.94 goals-against and a .905 save percentage. Madore has spent most of his professional career in the ECHL, playing for Chicago, South Carolina, Evansville, and Florida, before coming to Cincinnati.
Prior to that, he played four seasons for the University of Vermont, where he is ranked second all-time in saves (3,352) behind only Florida netminder Tim Thomas. Madore also ranks third overall in games played (127), fourth in goals-against average (2.91), fifth in save percentage (.902), and sixth in wins (41).
The Rampage play the Texas Stars tonight on a KZEP / Bud Light Dollar Drink Night in the first of a home-and-home with their instate rivals, before traveling to Cedar Park tomorrow to complete the set. Tomorrow's tilt will be the first of five games to be broadcast on FOX Sports Southwest this season, and is the first game that will feature the "Tune In To Win" promotion.
Individual and season tickets can be purchased at the AT&T Center Southeast Box Office, by calling a Rampage representative at 210-444-5554, or online at sarampage.com.
