Florida Panthers Recall D Alex Petrovic and F Drew Shore

SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers Executive VP/General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has recalled D Alex Petrovic and F Drew Shore from San Antonio (AHL). In addition, the team has placed D Erik Gudbranson on injured reserve.

Petrovic, 21, has played in seven career National Hockey League games over two seasons, all with Florida, recording 27 PIM. The Edmonton AB, native made his season debut with Florida on Dec. 23, recording a team-high eight hits on 15:35 TOI and has played in 30 games for San Antonio recording 11 points (2-9-11) and 46 PIM. The defenseman made his NHL debut on Apr. 18 at the NY Rangers.

Petrovic was drafted by Florida in the second round (36th overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Shore, 22, has played in 45 NHL games, all with Florida, recording 13 points (3-10-13) and 16 PIM. This season, the Denver, CO native has played in two games with Florida and 28 games for San Antonio this season recording 15 points (0-15-15) and 10 PIM. The forward made his NHL debut on Jan. 22 in Montreal.

Shore was drafted by Florida in the second round (44th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
