Lightning Recall D Dmitry Korobov from Syracuse

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled defenseman Dmitry Korobov from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League today, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced.

Korobov, 24, made his NHL debut with the Lightning against the Los Angeles Kings on November 19, recording one hit and 13:21 minutes of ice time. It is his only game played for Tampa Bay this season. The 6-foot-3, 235-pound defenseman has skated in 26 games with Syracuse this season, posting 12 assists and 30 penalty minutes. He ranks second among Crunch defensemen with a plus-2 rating.

The Novopolotsk, Belarus native has appeared in 91 career AHL games, all with the Crunch, recording three goals and 34 points. Last season he ranked second in the AHL among rookies with a plus-20 rating. Korobov helped lead Syracuse to the 2013 Calder Cup Final, recording a goal and two points in 17 games.
