Canucks Call up Eriksson; Comets Call up Corbeil

Vancouver Canucks President & General Manager Michael D. Gillis announced today that the Canucks have recalled goaltender Joacim Eriksson from the AHL Utica Comets. In addition, Comets Director of Hockey Operations, Pat Conacher, has recalled goaltender Mathieu Corbeil from the ECHL's Wheeling Nailers.

Eriksson, 23, has played in 20 games with Utica this season, building a record of 8-10-1, a 0.907 save percentage and a 2.77 GAA. The 6'1", 189-pound goaltender has also posted two shutouts this season.

The Gavle, Sweden native signed with Vancouver as a free agent on June 17, 2013.

Corbeil, 22, has played in four games for the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL, and has posted a 2-1 record, a .905 save percentage, and a 2.29 GAA.

The Montreal, PQ native was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 4th round (102 overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
