San Antonio Rampage News Release

Milwaukee, Wis. -- Martin Sonnenberg tallied his sixth goal of the season to put the San Antonio Rampage (5-13-0-1) on the board but wasn't enough to continue the rally against the Milwaukee Admirals with a final score of 3-1 at the Bradley Center. Tonight's game was the conclusion of a four-game road trip for the Rampage and the first of a home-and-home series between the two teams who will meet again tomorrow night at the SBC Center at 7 p.m.

Admirals goaltender, Pekka Rinne held San Antonio scoreless through the first half of the game maintaining a lead of 2-0 through most of the first two periods. Sonnenberg's shorthanded goal came with 38 seconds left in the second period to give the Rampage their only tally of the night and his fifth point in his last six games. Lance Monych collected his first point of the season assisting on Sonnenberg's goal.

Milwaukee's Libor Pivko took advantage of defenseman Brad Ference's hooking penalty at the 9:38 mark in the opening period to give the Admirals their only power play goal of the night. Jordin Tootoo kicked off the second period with a goal just 10 seconds after the faceoff. The Nashville Predators AHL affiliate would cap the night with the only goal scored in the closing period off the stick of Greg Classen at the 7:56 mark to assure Milwaukee the win.
