Milwaukee Admirals News Release

Milwaukee, WI-Sparked by the return of last year's leading scorer Simon Gamache, the Milwaukee Admirals topped the San Antonio Rampage 3-1 at the Bradley Center on Tuesday night. Gamache was reassigned by Nashville on a conditioning assignment on Sunday.

After having their seven game winning streak snapped on Saturday night in Chicago, the Admirals were able to get off to a quick start Tuesday night, out shooting the Rampage 17-2 in the first period. Libor Pivko put the Ads up 1-0 when he scored a power play tally at the 9:38 mark of the first stanza on assists from Gamache and Kris Beech.

Jordin Tootoo gave Milwaukee a 2-0 lead just 10 seconds into the second period. The Rampage would get on the board with a shorthanded goal by Martin Sonnenberg to cut the Ads lead to 2-1 going into the third, but Greg Classen would give Milwaukee a two-goal lead again when he beat San Antonio goaltender Scott Stirling with assists from Pivko and Brandon Segal.

Pekka Rinne continued his stellar play for the Ads, swatting away 22 of 23 Rampage shots to improve his record to 7-4-1 on the season. Pivko collected three points (1g-2a) to pace the Admirals offensive attack.

The Admirals begin a five-day, four-game Texas road trip tomorrow when they play the back end of a home-and-home series with the Rampage. The next Milwaukee home game will be on Wednesday, November 30 at 7 pm versus the Peoria Rivermen.
