
Penguins add three to roster

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Pittsburgh Penguins have assigned forwards Rico Fata and Konstantin Koltsov and defenseman Rob Scuderi to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced today by General Manager Craig Patrick.
Fata, 25, has appeared in 20 games this season with Pittsburgh, going scoreless with 10 penalty minutes. The 6-0 and 205 pound native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario has played in 193 NHL games with Calgary, the New York Rangers and Pittsburgh, recording 54 points (23+31) and 90 penalty minutes.
Koltsov, 24, has appeared in 20 games this season with Pittsburgh, recording one assist and 10 penalty minutes. The 6-0 and 206 pound native of Minsk, Belarus has appeared in 104 NHL games, all with Pittsburgh, recording 30 points (9+21) and 40 penalty minutes.
Koltsov has also appeared in 68 regular season games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, recording 34 points (9+25) and 45 penalty minutes. He also has 23 points (8+15) in 30 playoff contests with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. His 17 points (6+11) in the 2004 Calder Cup Playoffs were second on the team
Scuderi, 26, has appeared in 10 games this season with Pittsburgh, going scoreless with 10 penalty minutes. The 6-0 and 218 pound native of Syosset, New York has appeared in 23 NHL games, all with Pittsburgh, recording three points (1+2) and 14 penalty minutes.
Scuderi has also appeared in 292 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton from 2001-2005, recording 80 points (8+72) and a plus-17 rating. He ranks first all-time on the team's list of games played by defensemen and third in games played among all Penguins, and ranks 11th overall with 72 assists.
The Penguins return to action at home on Wednesday night against the Providence Bruins. Game time is 7:05pm, and good seats are still available.
