Mighty Ducks of Anaheim Announce Roster Move

PORTLAND, ME- The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has assigned left wing Kip Brennan to the Portland Pirates, Anaheim's primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Brennan, 25 (8/27/80), has played 12 games with Anaheim in 2005-06, earning 0-1=1 point with 35 penalty minutes. The Kingston, Ontario, native has appeared in 58 career NHL games with Anaheim, Atlanta and Los Angeles, posting 1-1=2 points with 210 PIM.

The 6-4, 230-pound forward was originally drafted by Los Angeles in the fourth round (103rd overall) of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.

The Pirates return to action on Wednesday night at home against the Manchester Monarchs at 7:05 p.m. It will be Casco Federal Credit Union Food Drive Night. All fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the game.

Season tickets are still available for the 2005-06 season at the Pirates office, located at 531 Congress Street in Portland. Ticket plans start at just $50.
