Pittsburgh recalls Michel Outellet and Matt Hussey

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forwards Michel Ouellet and Matt Hussey from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced today by General Manager Craig Patrick.

Ouellet, 23, ranks second in the American Hockey League in points (29) and assists (19) and currently has a 12-game point scoring streak (9+14), the longest current streak in the AHL.

Ouellet leads Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in scoring and assists and is tied for first with 10 goals in 17 games. He also leads the team with six power-play goals.

The 6-0 and 202 pound native of Rimouski, Quebec was drafted by the Penguins in the fourth round (124th overall) of the 2000 Entry Draft.

Hussey, 26, is tied for third on Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in scoring with 19 points (9+10) in 17 games. Hussey is tied for second on the team in assists, tied for third in goals and tied for third with four power-play goals.

The 6-2 and 211 pound native of New Haven, CT played in three games with the Penguins in 2003-04, recording two goals and one assist. Hussey was drafted by the Penguins in the ninth round (254th overall) of the 1998 Entry Draft.

The Penguins return to action at home on Wednesday night against the Providence Bruins. Game time is 7:05pm, and good seats are still available.
