Rampage can't get offense going in shutout loss to Barons

Cleveland - Nolan Schaefer stopped all 35 shots and extended his shutout streak to 120 minutes as the Cleveland Barons defeated the San Antonio Rampage 2-0 Thursday night at Quicken Loans Arena.

Schaefer had shutout the Rampage 3-0 stopping 28 shots Tuesday night in Cleveland.

The Rampage battled Cleveland all night out-shooting the Barons 35-27, including their 26-20 total after two periods.

Cleveland's Garrett Stafford took advantage of their power-play opportunity with his sixth goal of the season at 8:37 in the opening period.

The Barons made it 2-0 early in the second as Mike Iggulden scored his 12th goal of the season 28 seconds into the period.

Eric Chouinard, one of San Antonio's newest editions acquired on Wednesday, had four shots and Pavel Brendl had one shot on goal.
