Knights Recall Two From ECHL

Omaha, NE - The Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights announced today that defenseman Tim Hambly has been recalled from the Las Vegas Wranglers, their affiliate in the ECHL, and signed to a professional try-out. In addition, defenseman Jan Vodrazka has been recalled from the Greenville Growwwl of the ECHL and signed to a PTO. Both players will join the team in time for its home game against the Milwaukee Admirals on Friday, December 30th at 7:00 p.m.

Hambly (6'0", 190 lbs.) has played in 28 games for the Wranglers, scoring seven goals and ten assists for 17 points. He also has 21 penalty minutes. Hambly leads the team in plus/minus with a +18 rating. The native of White Bear Lake, Minnesota attended training camp with the Knights this fall at the start of his first full professional season. He earned two assists in eight games for the Wranglers during the 2004-2005 season after the completion of his college career. Hambly played collegiate hockey at the University of Minnesota-Duluth from 2001 to 2005. In 141 career games, he had 13 goals and 47 assists for 60 points and 132 penalty minutes. Hambly has also played in two American Hockey League games with the Iowa Stars this season, registering no points and four penalty minutes.

Vodrazka (6'1", 200 lbs.) has played in 24 games for Greenville, registering five assists and 101 penalty minutes. He's tied for the team lead in plus/minus at +14. The native of Plzen, Czech Republic last played in the AHL during the 2003-2004 season when he appeared in 54 games for the Houston Aeros, scoring one goal and adding seven assists for eight points. He also had 82 penalty minutes. Vodrazka played previously in the Calgary Flames' system for the Saint John Flames in 2002-2003. In that season, he had one goal and four assists for five points and 169 penalty minutes while playing in all 80 games. Vodrazka has played in 189 career AHL games, earning three goals and 14 assists for 17 points and 434 penalty minutes.

The Knights finish the week and 2005 when they travel to Des Moines to face the Stars for a 7:35 p.m. face-off.
