Moose Recall DeMone

The Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, announced they have recalled defenceman James DeMone from the Columbia Inferno of the ECHL.

DeMone, 23, has played in 20 games so far this season with the Moose, collecting two assists and 67 penalty minutes. The St. Albert, AB native was signed to an AHL contract by the Moose on Oct. 5/05 after earning a try-out with the Vancouver Canucks through CBC's "Making the Cut" series. DeMone has also played in nine games with Columbia this season, collecting six penalty minutes. In his four-year pro career, DeMone has played in 74 games in the ECHL, collecting 20 assists and 93 penalty minutes.

DeMone was originally a ninth choice, 283rd overall, of the Ottawa Senators in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
