NORFOLK, VA - Today, the Norfolk Admirals announced that goaltender Mike Brodeur was re-assigned to Norfolk by their NHL parent club, the Chicago Blackhawks, and defenseman Cody Blanshan was recalled from their ECHL affiliate, the Greenville Grrrowl.

Originally selected by Chicago in the seventh round (211th overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Brodeur stands at 6'2", 166 lbs. He has appeared in 23 games with Greenville this season, posting a record of 14-8-1 with a 2.58 goals against average and a .917 save percentage. He is currently seventh among active ECHL goaltenders in GAA, first in minutes (1,396), tied for first in the ECHL in wins, and tied for third in saves (662).

Blanshan stands at 6'1", 220 lbs. and is a native of Eagan, MN. In 28 games with Greenville this season, he has registered three goals and eight assists for 11 points, 56 penalty minutes and a plus-8 rating. Blanshan was an invitee to Norfolk's 2005-06 training camp.
