Blackhawks Call Up Munro

December 29, 2005 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Norfolk Admirals News Release

Blackhawk General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that goaltender Adam Munro has been recalled from the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League.

Munro has appeared in 16 games for the Admirals and has a record of 8-6-1 with 1 shutout, a 2.90 goals against average, and a .894 save percentage.

Munro was recalled after Blackhawk goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin suffered a pulled groin in the second period of last night's 2-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues.

Munro was originally the Blackhawks' 1st round choice (29th overall) in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. The Blackhawks re-signed Munro as a free agent on February 18, 2004. He made his NHL debut in the 2003-04 season appearing in 7 games posting a record of 1-5-1 with a 3.66 goals against average.
