
Rampage 2004-05 Schedule Announced

The American Hockey League (AHL) has released the San Antonio Rampage 2004-05 regular season schedule. The top affiliate for the NHL's Florida Panthers opens their third season with a pair of weekend games against its arch rival, the Houston Aeros, on Fri., Oct. 15, followed by division rival, the Utah Grizzlies, on Sat., Oct. 16.
The Rampage are scheduled to face off against 14 of the 28 AHL teams, including all six West Division opponents. They will play an unbalanced schedule of 80 games (40 home, 40 away), with 56 of those games against division rivals â including the last 13 games of the season. San Antonio will play eight games against Eastern Conference teams, including two each against Hartford and Worcester, and four against Norfolk. The team will cap the remaining 16 games against Western Conference (North Division) opponents.
Twenty-nine of the Rampage's 40 home dates fall on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, including 10 Friday, eight Saturday, and 11 Sunday games at the SBC Center. All weekend and weeknight games will begin at 7 p.m., while Sunday start times will be either 4 or 5 p.m.
San Antonio's first game against the Calder Cup Champion Milwaukee Admirals is Sun., Nov. 7 at the SBC Center. The Rampage welcome one new team to the SBC Center this year when they host the Edmonton Roadrunners on Sat., Jan. 15.
The Rampage's longest homestand this season will be a five-game stretch from Dec.4 through Dec. 10, when they host Chicago and Utah each twice and Rochester once. The team will embark on a 12-game road trip to nine different cities Jan. 29 through Feb. 26, while the San Antonio Livestock Exposition and Rodeo visits the SBC Center.
